Oh yay!! I've always been a Final Fantasy fan but those ones particularly appealed to my inner girlish glee! Heck, I even started writing a fanfic (my only one ever) for FFX before I found out they were making a sequel. Of course, now when I go back and read it, it makes me laugh so hard I could explode... 100% sappyness.

It almost bewilders me too. That game is annoying, and linear, and I could name a billion other flaws... But I love it. Way too much. I'm usually not into girly stuff but I guess the sappy romantic part of me demanded that I obsess over that one...
